THE POWER OF THREE
We are delighted to announce that on 1st February 2018, we completed our planned merger with two local legal practices - Biscoes Solicitors and Gurney-Champion Solicitors. As a combined firm, we will have well over 110 staff, including more than 40 solicitors and legal executives.
Biscoes Solicitors is one of the region’s leading Mainland law firms. As well as its headquarters in Portsmouth, Biscoes has offices in Gosport, Petersfield, Portchester, Waterlooville and Wickham, and offers a complete range of legal services to businesses, private clients and members of the armed forces.
Gurney-Champion Solicitors is a small, family-owned firm that has served private and commercial clients both on the Isle of Wight and on the Mainland for more than 70years. Nicholas Gurney-Champion who will be based in Ryde after the merger can trace his Island history back over 400years and is pleased to be returning to the Island to live and work.
We are very excited about this new chapter in our story. We believe this merger will offer our Island Clients access to a greater range of Legal Services from our office in Ryde , Including house purchase and Sales, Will writing, help with probate and LPA’s and also business services. As well as legal services which have been hard to access on the Island previously such as Court of Protection advice, Immigration advice and Fertility Law Advice. We aim to deliver all our existing and New services in the same friendly and efficient way as we always have.
We would like to thank all our clients, friends and partners for your support over the years, and look forward to working with you in our new guise for many more years to come.
